A new book from the publishing branch Indie By Design will focus on the complete timeline of Double Fine Productions. Entitled 20 Double Fine Years, fans of the iconic gaming studio can now dive into hours of accumulated content. These include exclusive interviews, original artwork, and never-before-seen images from every game in the studio’s résumé.
Double Fine Productions Celebrates 20 Years
20 Double Fine Years comes from the luxurious craftsmanship of Indie By Design. Their mission involves the creation of books and podcasts that bring love and new light into the culture of video games. This usually features fresh content from developers and producers who share insight and knowledge about the projects they’ve created. At the moment, there are three available books on Indie By Design’s website: 20 Double Fine Years, Oddworld: Abe’s Origins, and Independent By Design.
Thanks to the collaboration and licensing from 20 Double Fine Productions, readers will have access to untold tales and interviews in this book. In addition to these, there are hundreds of different art printings that range from concept to design documents – all from the private archives of the developers. Readers can expect to see content from Tim Schafer, Peter Chan, Scott Campbell, Anna Kipnis, and more.
The book will be outfitted with 288 pages and two fold-outs in landscape format. Its binding is sewn with thread to help support the book’s lifetime and usage. Furthermore, readers can choose between the Standard and the Legend edition of the book. The Legend edition comes with more content, along with a cover variant that changes up the famous twin-headed baby logo. The Standard will run for £40.00 (approx. $46.20), while the Legend is priced at £52.00 (approx. $60).
You can set your orders now through either the book’s site or Indie By Design’s website.
