Clips of the Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero movie were shown at New York’s Comic-Con earlier today. Super Hero takes place several years after Dragon Ball Super: Broly. These new clips showcased many things with the 21ist Dragon Ball movie. This includes a new CG art style, which blends the computer animation with Akira Toriyama’s iconic style.
Since its release 37 years ago, Dragon Ball has managed to stay one of the most popular anime and manga franchises in the world. Toriyama’s series is one of the top three best-selling manga of all time, with over 250 million copies currently in circulation. The series is credited as one of the most influential Shonen manga ever. The various anime adaptations playing a key role in anime’s mainstream popularity. Currently, the manga is continuing with the Dragon Ball Super manga. Toriyama is in charge of supervising the manga.
What We Know About Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero So Far
The producers also revealed that Pan has received martial arts training from Piccolo, who also trained her father Gohan. The producers also showcased new character designs for several returning characters, the most surprising being Bulma and an older Dede. Toriyama himself created the redesigns.

The clips from Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero show several new characters, including two plot-relevant characters named Gama 1 and Gama 2. It is assumed that Goku, Vegeta, and the rest will fight these superhero-esque characters in the film. The other revealed characters are assumed to be associated with the Red Ribbon Army. Piccolo and an older Pan were also briefly shown in the clips. Both characters are said to play a major role in the film.
Though this showcase gave a lot, a final release date for the movie is still unknown. Despite this, the film’s producers confirmed that the film is still on track for a 2022 release in Japan, with a close following international release.
