The Original F-Zero GX blew away players on the Gamecube owing to its intuitive use of visuals at the time. But it’s been decades now, and the Gamecube title hasn’t aged like fine wine. But what’s this? An F-Zero GX Remaster for the Nintendo Switch is in the works? (Allegedly)
F-Zero GX Remaster Rumored For The Nintendo Switch
A Twitter Influencer and Nintendo Fanatic that goes by the name of Nintendo Prime revealed info that an F-Zero GX Remaster for the Nintendo Switch might be in the works. But it’s hard to believe after a standing hiatus of nearly two decades. But retired lead designer Takaya Imamura spoke to IGN and stated that he doesn’t feel F-Zero is “dead.”
But will we get the premier racing series back? We don’t know, so take this information with a grain of salt.
Thanks for the new follows today. I don’t know anything about F-Zero folks, other than that it’s happening/exists and then the NLG stuff I heard yesterday. That’s it. But like many, I too want to see F-Zero come back. Badly. – Nintendo Prime
F-Zero GX was, by far, one of the most criminally underrated titles of its time. It was a fresh take on the premier racing series, and that too in Superb Style. We got to take the wheel with 30 different racers. It was one of the fastest games on the block.
F-Zero GX was no short of a rewarding arcade racer. You got to tinker with a host of custom parts and create new whips. F-Zero had certainly come a long way from its Mode 7 visuals and gameplay back on the SNES. But the franchise hit a sudden hiatus from 2003 onwards.
So what do you think of this small F-Zero GX rumor for the Nintendo Switch? Do you think the title will get the remaster it deserves? Will we get a premium multiplayer racing experience? Let us know in the comments below.
