The official Halo Infinite Twitter page has released a new “UNSC Archives” trailer to promote the game earlier today. These live-action shorts are intended to expand upon the lore of the iconic Master Chief and his arsenal, and Microsoft has already revealed two trailers in the past leading up to the release of the game.

The first Halo Infinite UNSC Archive video, entitled Unspoken, shows two marines who have confiscated alien tech necessary in the creation of Master Chief’s iconic energy shield, while the second archive, entitled Project Magnes, revealed the origin of the grappling hook by a dedicated engineer who spent much time in isolation to create it.
This third trailer, known as Lightbringers, shows the events surrounding a group of volunteer miners who went down an excavation site to extract ore needed to fortify Master Chief’s exoskeleton. However, they ended up trapped due to a cave-in down in the mines, and, according to the opening text, were only to bring the ore back to the surface, and finally ends with the trapped miners singing a chorus about “the darkness that brings on the light”, while carving on the walls “From the soil to the stars” in reference to the ore used to make the Chief’s armor.
The trailer comes at a time of high anticipation for Halo Infinite’s launch. Following the recent information surrounding the multiplayer, it seems developers Microsoft and 343 Industries are putting great focus on promoting prior to its official launch date and adding the finishing touches. Halo Infinite is still expected to be released on December 8 for Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC, with the multiplayer campaign expected to launch around a similar time according to the recent datamine.
