Nintendo has released a brand new official trailer for the upcoming Pikmin 4, the fourth installment of the iconic exploration franchise. The new trailer gives fans a closer glimpse at the story and the customization options players will encounter during their journey to rescue their fellow explorers.
Pikmin 4 is due to release on Nintendo Switch on July 21, 2023, a little over a month from the time of writing this, with more details expected as we get closer to release.
Pimin 4 Story Details & Customization
The new Pikmin 4 trailer puts players on a journey to a mysterious and dangerous world to rescue… the rescuers! The newest member of the renowned Rescue Corps, players have been tasked with saving the rest of their team after they crash-landed on a strange world filled with dangerous creatures and uncharted landscapes.
We see the Rescue Corps are on a mission to rescue the famous Captain Olimar after he previously crash-landed on this world, only to crash-land themselves in the process. Now it is up to the team’s newest recruit to save everyone and bring them home!
With a variety of customization options, players can personalize their appearance however they see fit. With a platoon of loyal Pikmin on their side, they must brave the dangers of this planet to find Olimar and the Rescue Corps scattered throughout its various landscapes and environments.
The game includes a variety of Pikmin types, from the fiery Red Pikmin to the brand-new Ice Pikmin that can freeze enemies or bodies of water. Is there anything Pikmin can’t do these days?
As previously mentioned, Pikmin fans can look forward to embarking on another adventure later this summer, as Pikmin 4 launches on July 21. Pre-orders are available now via the Nintendo eShop!
