If you like Rocket League you might want to get in on Twitch Prime this month. There’s some fresh loot coming for members of the Amazon-owned subscription streaming service.
Rocket League players who are Prime members will unlock four content packs featuring exclusive in-game items by linking their Twitch accounts to their Rocket League platform of choice, which could be virtually any platform. Once accounts are linked, the first Content Pack, which includes a new car, will unlock immediately. All four content packs will be available now through March 27, 2020.
The details and schedule for the loot drops are:
Twitch Prime Pack 1 – Available Now
Six Nemesis Decals
Twitch Prime Pack 2 – Available Day 27 after linking accounts
Drude Engine Audio
Nemesis Crisis Decal
Twitch Prime Pack 3 – Available Day 55 after linking accounts
Luster Animated Decal
Twitch Prime Pack 4 – Available Day 83 after linking accounts
Tactical Nuke Goal Explosion
Sushi Board Player Banner
Boba Drink Antenna
Players will need to stay subscribed to Twitch prime for the entire time the promotion runs to get all four bundles of loot. This is similar to the way Twitch Prime gave away free time on the Nintendo Switch Online service. That reward required subscribers to first claim one month of the Nintendo service then claim the rest of the ‘free’ year the following month. This is the start of a trend of Twitch Prime rewards requiring multiple months of subscription to claim the full reward. This is either a move towards transparency, letting subscribers know what’s coming down the pipe, or an effort to stop people from subscribing for a day, claiming the month’s reward and then canceling.
On second thought, it’s Twitch, they’re owned by Amazon, it’s probably not about transparency.
