Capcom likes to keep very quiet about any detail and leaves no space for unintentional leaks. That’s why having a new insight on their latest chapter of the worldwide famous horror franchise is to be considered an honour. It is with this preface that I’d like to introduce you to this article: let’s take a closer look at Lady Dimitrescu’s castle in the new screenshots of Resident Evil Village‘s map.
Eventful Times For The Saga
It seems like there has been a lot of movement around this title recently since Capcom announced a showcase event. IGN was between the firsts to get a first peek at the map. You can easily spot the location of Castle Dimitrescu up north: this is the home of the homonymous Lady, and it’s here that the events featured in the PlayStation 5 demo take place.
Other places we see in the published images of Resident Evil Village‘s map are: ‘Heisenberg’s Factory,’ ‘House Beneviento,’ ‘Morseau’s Reservoir’, and the ‘Sluice Gate’, that faces what looks like a large pond infested with monsters, near the bottom of the map.
Let’s go back to the upper part of the map. We can also see some sort of dragon hovering around on Castle Dimitrescu. Is Resident Evil Village going more on the fantasy side of the saga? How will the events of the eight canon episode unravel around what happened in Resident Evil VII?
New Screenshots Of Resident Evil Village – Who Is Mother Miranda?
But the new screenshots of Resident Evil Village‘s map are not the only new thing that came to our attention. The freshly released images, in fact, also give us a sneak-a-peek on a new character: Mother Miranda. Mother Miranda seems to play a role of high interest in this chapter, although Capcom didn’t say much about her. Game Director Morimasa Sato declared: “Mother Miranda and the inner side of her character are extremely important factors in the game.”
Resident Evil Village is set to release on May 7. If you possess a PlayStation 5, you can enjoy the aforementioned playable demo. Besides that platform, the game will also be available on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and Stadia.
