The three-day-long 2022 Star Wars Celebration began in Anaheim on Thursday, May 26th. During this huge celebration, many panels and Star Wars celebrities have taken the stage and announced what’s to come for the Star Wars universe. To celebrate George Lucas’ massive franchise, two new Disney Plus Star Wars original series were announced during this gathering. The first show is Young Jedi Adventures, and the other is an animated series called Tales of The Jedi.
New Star Wars Series
Of the two new Disney Plus Star Wars series announced, Tales of The Jedi will premiere first later this year in the fall on the streaming service. A conglomerate of many short stories, Tales of The Jedi is now the second animated anthology brought to us by Disney Plus for the Star Wars universe after releasing Star Wars Visions last September. Tales of The Jedi will follow the many stories of Jedi from the prequel period, and Liam Neeson is confirmed to be back to voice Qui-Gon Jinn.

The second Disney Plus Star Wars series announced was Young Jedi Adventures. Young Jedi Adventures is set to hit the streaming service as well as Disney Junior next spring in 2023. The series will follow Younglings during the High Republic era as they learn the way of the Force. The show is targeted at a pre-kindergarten audience. It will teach kids the values that Young Jedi are taught, compassion, self-discipline, teamwork, and patience, so that they can become well respected and fearless Jedi – and humans. Gotta make them Star Wars fans while they’re young right?
