Grant Gustin gushed over the golden boots that have been added to his new suit for The Flash during DC FanDome. Gustin will don these boots in season eight of The CW’s hit series. While being interviewed at DC FanDome, Gustin could not contain his excitement saying the boots
Are the final element that’s been missing. I’ve loved all the versions of The Flash suit we’ve had on the show, but the suit we have now is the closest to the many iterations you see in the comic books—with the exception of those gold boots! I’ve always felt that those boots would be the final touch.”
This is the first change to the suit since the sixth season. While the suit has evolved many times in seven seasons, fans have been awaiting the day the iconic boots would be added in. Grant expressed his excitement at last year’s DC FanDome, and could not contain when the pics were shown this morning. The Koalition reports that along with the new boots, the Flash’s new suit also includes a newly designed center crest and wings.
The Flash premiered in 2014 on The CW as a part of the Arrowverse. The show recently ended its seventh season, which also marked the departures of series regulars Tom Cavanaugh and Carlos Valdez.
The eighth season of The Flash will premiere on with the five-part “Armageddon” mega-event. Decider reports that several guest stars from the Arrowverse will make appearances in this arc. Such guests include Javicia Leslie as Batwoman, Brandon Routh as The Atom, Cress Williams as Black Lightning, Chyler Leigh as Sentinel, Kat McNamara as Mia Queen, and Osric Chau as Ryan Cho.
