Following the abysmal PC launch for the Last of Us Part 1, fans have been seemingly upset at Naughty Dog’s terrible port. New Last Of Us Part 1 PC Update Here
Players had been experiencing loads of VRAM limitations, memory consumption issues, performance problems, and every bug and glitch under the sky. The new Last of Us Part 1 update aims to fix all of these problems and more. The patch notes read as follows:
“A new hotfix for The Last of Us Part I is now live. This update addresses fixes that improve memory, performance, and more.
- Decreased PSO cache size to reduce memory requirements and minimize Out of Memory crashes
- Added additional diagnostics for developer tracking purposes
- Increased animation streaming memory to improve performance during gameplay and cinematics
- Fix for crash on first boot”
The Last of Us Part 1 was seemingly delayed and later released on Tuesday. Due to the horrible port, the company was met with some well-earned backlash due to performance issues, bugs, glitches, and crashes.
The first update came around on Wednesday, which aimed at optimizing stability issues and improving performance across the board, along with a few other micro-issues.
The Last of Us Part 1’s PC Port was handled by Naughty Dog and Iron Galaxy. If you know about Iron Galaxy, then you probably saw this coming from a mile away. They were known for Batman: Arkham Knight’s terrible PC port, and they certainly seem to live up to their former reputation even in 2023.
