A new trailer for Ghostrunner, an upcoming cyberpunk game from development studio One More Level, showed off some quick-hitting combat and new enemy types.
While the new trailer for Ghostrunner, which debuted for Gamescom over this past weekend, is short, it shows off the game’s slash-and-dash combat mechanics, as well as a glimpse into the world Ghostrunner takes place in.
The trailer also promises that we will get even more information about Ghostrunner on Sept. 15.
Back in June we covered an even longer new trailer for Ghostrunner, showing off more of the world and gameplay. With a focus on speed and mobility in combat, the abilities and upgrades Ghostrunner gives your character (such as slowing time, or air blasts to send enemies flying away) are sure to help players expand on those ideas.
Ghostrunner is set to release sometime this year on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. A private beta will release beforehand, which English speaking participants 18 years of age or older can register for here.
It’s a great time to be a fan on the cyberpunk genre. From Cloudpunk, a delivery game set in a cyberpunk world, to the top-down shooter experience that is Ruiner, fans of the genre have good options to chose from. That’s not even including the upcoming behemoth that is known as Cyberpunk 2077, set to release Nov. 19. Cyberpunk 2077 is certainly going to put some pressure on other games in the cyberpunk genre, having won multiple awards over the weekend at the Gamescom Best of Show Special.
