In honor of the upcoming Season 3 premiere of Amazon Prime Video’s popular series The Boys, PUBG Mobile has released a trailer showcasing content directly inspired by the show and releasing into the game on June 3rd. The collaboration involves Prime Video, Sony Pictures Consumer Products, and series producers Sony Pictures Television. The popular series received its first look back in January, and with the Season 3 release right around the corner, the timing couldn’t be better.
The event will last from June 3rd to July 3rd and be chock full of new items based on the popular series. Some of these items will include the stunning super suits of iconic characters from the series, such as Homelander (Antony Starr), Starlight (Erin Moriarty), and Soldier Boy (Jensen Ackles), as well as some interesting new weapon skins, backpacks, new parachutes, and much more.
Adding to the exciting content, June 5th will begin a new event in PUBG Mobile titled the “Supe Spree Event,” where players will join infamous anti-hero character Billy Butcher (Karl Urban) to create an investigation squad to search for evidence of superhero wrongdoings. According to reports, the storyline will follow a mysterious string of murders in New York City. To solve the horrific crimes, players will have to work with The Boys characters and their investigation squad to get to the bottom of whatever is going on.
Senior director of marketing for PUBG Mobile Anthony Crouts had this to say when asked about the exciting collaboration:
“‘The Boys’ is a groundbreaking TV series that has forever changed the entertainment industry with its irreverent take on superheroes”, “We always strive to deliver fresh new content to our players and this collaboration gives us the amazing opportunity to integrate real-time elements of ‘The Boys” new season directly into PUBG Mobile.”
The collaboration is definitely an exciting one for fans of PUBG Mobile and may bring increased exposure to the popular mobile game, considering it’s been slightly overshadowed in the last couple of weeks by the newly released Apex Legends Mobile.
