Today, Kate Scott, a former designer for Gears of War, joins Ubisoft as the editorial vice president (VP). This follows her recent appointment with the company. She will be based in Vancouver, joining the Global Creative Office. The company noted that Scott is best suited for the position from her diverse skills and passionate inclusion.

Scott will ensure alignment between Ubisoft’s worldwide production teams and its overall editorial strategy in her new role. Additionally, her role includes overseeing and collaborating with Ubisoft’s creative teams worldwide, powering the vision behind Ubisoft’s vast portfolio of games and products, and ensuring alignment between those teams and Ubisoft’s editorial strategy.

Scott’s Former Roles and Responsibilities (Experience)
Scott has a decade of experience in the gaming industry. Her most recent roles include game design director on the Gears of War universe at Xbox studio the coalition. Before that, Scott worked in game design at electronic arts, contributing to four FIFA games. Therefore, it is justifiable to note that her gaming industry experience will be useful.
