New World has a wide array of weapons and armor for players to collect with their own unique designs and color schemes. If you are unhappy with the color of your armor, you can use dyes to change it. Alternatively, you can use weapon and armor skins to change the look of your outfit. While there are free skins available from Twitch Drops, you can also buy them in-game. By the end of this guide, you will learn how to buy and get skins in New World.
How to Buy and Get Skins in New World
To buy skins, you will need to navigate to the New World store and find the Armor and Weapon Skins menus. The image above shows where the store tab is located. The premium currency to purchase skins, Marks of Fortune, can be bought in the store for real-world money.
Additionally, you can receive free skins during the New World Launch event that lasts until October 11. You can acquire the full Vinespun Weapon Skin Set, which includes 14 unique skins for each weapon in the game. To unlock all 14 skins, you need to watch a total of 10 hours of New World Twitch streams that have drops enabled. Don’t worry if you can’t watch all 10 hours by the end of the event, though. You will still receive some skins even if you only watch a few hours.

If you bought the deluxe edition of New World, you will also receive a set of Woodsman Armor and Hatchet skins alongside a pet and emote set. If you do have the deluxe edition, you will automatically receive the skins.
Once you get your first set of skins, right-click on any armor piece or weapon you want to change and pick “Change Skin.” You will see a skin selection menu showing all the skins that are available for your weapon or armor piece. Find the skin that you wish to use, and confirm the selection to change the skin. Every skin is available account-wide so that you can use the same skins on any of your characters.
