New World has hundreds of weapons and equipment that you can use to fight monsters and other players. However, all equipment, including tools, in the game also have limited durability that will decrease as you use them. Furthermore, if your character dies, all of your weapons and armor will lose durability. To fix your equipment, you will need some coins and repair parts. By the end of this guide, you will learn how to get repair parts in New World.
How to Get Repair Parts in New World
To get repair parts, you need to salvage any weapons, armor, or tools that you own. You can do this in your inventory or your storage shed. You can salvage by pressing S and the left mouse button on your mouse. A confirmation message will appear telling you that you will receive repair parts and a small number of coins for salvaging the item. Press E or click the confirm button to salvage the equipment. Note that if you try to salvage other items such as fish, you will not get repair parts.

If you do not have any weapons or armor to salvage, you can buy some from a trading post in any town. While you may find a lot of expensive armor, there is also often very cheap armor that goes as low as three to five coins. You can also craft your weapons, tools, and armor to salvage if you have the resources to make them.
Questing is also a great way to get more equipment. Not only do supply crates and caches occasionally give weapons and armor, but monsters will sometimes drop them too. Additionally, many quests also give weapon and armor cases. Be careful not to get more than 2,000 repair parts at a time. There is a maximum capacity of 2,000 repair parts that you can carry at a time, and any additional ones you obtain will be wasted.
