A broken weapon or piece of armor might as well not be a weapon or armor at all, so making sure that your equipment is maintained in the new MMO New World is very important. Some people might not fully understand how repairing their equipment actually works, so allow me to give a helping hand. This guide will show you how to repair weapons in New World.
How to Repair Weapons in New World
Similar to other games that use a durability systems, gear and weapons in New World will begin to degrade and eventually break. There is a way to repair this, and you don’t even need to go to a blacksmith or tailor like in some other games to do so. If you go over to the item in your inventory that you want to repair and hover over it, a list of options will come up. One of them is to repair the item by pressing the R key and clicking the left mouse. Doing this will return the selected equipment back to 100% durability. There is also a button at the bottom of the inventory screen that says “Repair All” and will do what it says on the tin. Just make sure you are willing to part with a lot of supplies to do this action.
Repairing will cost you some Gold as well as an item called repair parts. These items can be gained through exploring the world as well as salvaging certain weapons and gear. Select weak gear or gear that you don’t want and salvage it, a window will tell you what you receive from doing so and you will likely get some repair parts by doing so. Make sure you are using this feature so that you are not only always ready to repair a piece of gear if need be but to also make sure that you keep your inventory open and uncluttered.
New World is now available on PC through Steam.
