Of the three factions that you can choose from in the new MMOÂ New World, it seems that the Marauders are the most popular. Since these factions play a large role in the social and PvP components of the game, you might find yourself deciding to follow the crowd, to get in with the cool team. If you decide to go down the Marauder route, then that means you will gain the ability to go up the ranks and become a Gladiator. To do this, you will need to complete the “Trial of the Gladiator” Quest. This guide will show you how to complete the “Trial of the Gladiator” Quest in New World.
How to Complete the “Trial of the Gladiator” Quest in New World
The first step is to play through the main story quest until you complete the mission “Choose your Allegiance” which is where you will get to choose your faction. For this guide, you will pick Marauder. Once you join, you will be given a side story titled “Marauder Advancement: Gladiator.” Similar to all the other factions, this quest will have you gain 3,000 Reputation to complete this quest and begin the Trial. To increase your Reputation, talk to Marauder Commander Elijah Edwin at Dayspring and open the Faction Board and complete some of the Faction Quests he has available. Once you have enough Reputation, travel to the Cutlass Keys Hamlet settlement and talk to Winifred Silas to take the “Trial of the Gladiator” Quest. Know that the recommended level for this quest is level 25 and you cannot take the Quest before you reach level 24, so get to that level before you start this mission.
The “Trial of the Gladiator” Quest tasks you with going to Nautilus of Nunez and defeating the pirate captain Hamidou. Know that the captain is not alone and you will need to fight your way through several enemies. Once you reach Hamidou on a ship run aground, defeat him to complete the quest. Return to Cutlass Keys and to Silas to turn in the mission and receive the title of Gladiator.
