NHL 22 plans to drop the 1.6 update across all available platforms soon, so here’s the full list of changes and fixes with this patch. Today’s update doesn’t add too much but does bring the home of the New York Islanders, the UBS Arena, into the fold as a playable rink. There’s also a nice set of fixes to various issues players in the community have been reporting. While some in the forum responses to the patch announcement (linked below) are reporting a wide range of issues the update didn’t fix, hopefully, the next one will do just that. Without further adieu, here’s everything on the way with update 1.6 for NHL 22!
NHL 22 Update 1.6 Patch Notes
- Added UBS Arena, home of the New York Islanders into the game
- Fixed multiple cases where the puck was accelerating off the boards at unrealistic speeds and angles
- Fixed the Nashville Predators Stadium Series uniforms to have white numbers on the back of their uniforms
As you can see, there sadly isn’t much available with today’s update outside of said new rink alongside the few fixes. At the very least, one of those two issues seemed be a pretty major problem, so it’ll be nice to see it fixed. It’s also important to note that the update will be dropping shortly after this post goes live, but you’ll have to deal with some downtime. To be more specific, from about 1 PM EST to 2 PM EST. It’s not a huge amount of time to wait, but it’s worth noting nonetheless. While this may not be all that you wanted from this patch, hopefully it’s either a secret fix that isn’t listed (which has happened before), or it’ll be fixed with the next game update.
NHL 22 is available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S. For more information regarding this update, head over to the official forum post.
