In 1992, Nick Nolte was at the top of his game. He was voted People Magazine’s Sexiest Man Alive. Today, at 83, the actor rarely leaves his Malibu home. However, during a recent and rare outing, the actor stepped out looking disheveled and unrecognizable.
The Down and Out in Beverly Hills star was spotted wearing wrinkled clothing and long, messy hair. The Sun reports this is the first time Nick Nolte has been seen in public this year.
Nolte is best known for his films Cape Fear, Blue Chips, and Beverly Hills Cop. Driving a Lincoln, the actor emerged from the car. He is seen wearing a purple shirt and white pants and looks confused as the paparazzi snap his photo.
The former A-list celebrity quietly dropped out of the spotlight many years ago and now prefers to live quietly. Nick Nolte is still a working actor despite his age and preference for avoiding the spotlight.
Nick Nolte Set To Co-Star Alongside Saturday Night Live Alum Bill Murray
According to The Hollywood Reporter, The Ploughmen will star Nolte alongside Saturday Night Live alum Bill Murray. The film plot “follows a strange friendship between a haunted young deputy sheriff and a notorious old murderer ( played by Nolte).”
Nolte began his move away from the public in 2002. After his arrest for driving under the influence of GHB (gamma-hydroxybutyrate.) He recalls his unflattering mugshot causing quite a stir among his fans. Nick noted, “It went viral — my hair wild, my expression unsettling, looking like an asylum inmate out for a lark.” However, Nick seemingly takes a page from Hollywood legend Clint Eastwood’s book.
Eastwood, at 94, states that his kids have been on to him to clean up his act. They want him to do away with his scruffy beard, hair, and sloppy clothes. But recent reports reveal Clint states he has entered the “frankly, I don’t give a damn” point in his life. Eastwood adds, at his age, “he has the right to be comfortable and not have to pretend.” From the sound of things, his kids may have given up. After all, who wants to take on Clint Eastwood, even at 94?
