Diehard fans of kart racing games may be familiar with the Nickelodeon Kart Racers games. For the uninitiated, they’re exactly what they sound like. Players select from a roster of familiar Nickelodeon cartoon characters and race them around a number of tracks. If the Metacritic scores are any indication, the original Nickelodeon Kart Racers wasn’t particularly special. Critics gave it “generally unfavorable reviews” across all platforms. Player ratings were slightly more positive, with the PS4 and Xbox One versions of the game receiving “mixed or average reviews”. The second game in the series fared a bit better, with “Mixed or average” reviews across the board on consoles and a positive player reception on PC.
