Kel Mitchell is a Nickelodeon star who became a licensed pastor at Spirit Food Christian Center and has a new movie on the way. The Kenan & Kel star talks to the youths about the importance of talking to God during tough times. He was with the Helps Ministry for over ten years, and now his weekly teachings spread around the country.
In an interview with Fox News Digital, the 44-year-old actor disclosed that he has always known God because he grew up in a church. However, he pointed out that there’s a difference between knowing God and having a relationship with him.
According to Nickelodeon’s Kel Mitchell, he became a youth pastor after he got into several frustrating situations which resulted in depression. He tried to figure out everything by himself, but couldn’t get anywhere until God helped him.
It’s a relief to see the star doing alright after such an episode in his life. Hopefully, God helps others like he helped the actor who recently linked up with Kenan on SNL with Keke Palmer.

Youth Pastor Kel Mitchell Says He Beat Depression By Allowing God in His Life
It’s safe to assume that Kel Mitchell, the Nickelodeon star, wouldn’t have been a youth pastor if he didn’t allow God in his life. He explained that it got to a point where he wanted to make sure God was in everything he does.
The actor further stated that depression comes from internalized frustrations, and God’s love is the solution. He has discovered this truth and doesn’t want others to miss out on it.
Kel Mitchell is currently a father of four, doing alright for himself and has a new Christmas set to air pretty soon.

The comic movie also features Gabourey Sidibe playing Emily Harris. Emily wrote a letter including her wishes to Santa to uplift her spirits. She got her wishes and had to face the consequences of the bad ones.

The youth pastor and Nickelodeon star, Kel Mitchell is excited about his role in the movie as a mischievous elf. According to him, “I love holiday movies. … And it was just so much fun. I got to wear candy cane socks and all this stuff. It’s a fun journey, a feel-good movie. But it’s not your average Christmas movie.”
