Nintendo has recently announced a large amount of new games coming to the Switch throughout the end of 2018 and into 2019. Here are some of the most exciting titles announced!
Animal Crossing for Nintendo Switch: This would be the first game of the series to hit the shelves since Animal Crossing: New Leaf came to the Nintendo 3DS in 2013. It will be released exclusively to the Switch in 2019, and since this is a working title it may be under a new name.
Luigi’s Mansion 3: This third installment to the exciting series will also be exclusive to the Switch and available in 2019. As it is currently in production, its secrets are being kept quiet but we eagerly look forward to more announcements!
Final Fantasy games: Nintendo is bringing many fan-favorite games to their console for the first time. The graphics will be updated to high-definition. Among many FF games, players can expect to see VII, IX, and X to be released throughout 2018 and into 2019.
Super Mario Party: These games are expected now for each new Nintendo system. While they run the risk of being too familiar, there is the promise of new features. 80 new mini games will be available, a single player challenge mode, and a River Survival Mode which offers the first four player co-op experience to date. The new game will be available October 5th.
LEGO DC Super Villains: A new LEGO game is always an exciting announcement. Their wit should play well with this new game allowing you to be DC’s greatest villains, including the Joker, Harley Quinn, and Lex Luthor. It will be available October 16th.
Cities: Skylines: Already available today, this game lets you manage resources, improve the lives of residents, and grow businesses.
Asmodee Digital: Best selling card and board games will come to a digital format to make them easily accessible and portable. This includes Cascassone, the Lord of the Rings Card Game, Pandemic, Munchkin and Cataan.
Other Nintendo Switch games announced include Town, New Super Mario Bros U, Yoshi’s Crafted World, Mega Man 11, Pikachu and Evee, NBA 2K19, Team Sonic Racing, Splatoon 2, Mario Tennis, Just Dance 2019, EA Sports FIFA 19, Starling: Battle for Atlas, and Xenoblade Chronicles 2: Torna – The Golden Country.
