Nintendo Switch Online will be running a free 7-day trial through this year’s holidays. Comicbook news is reporting that even if you already got the free trial from last month on the Nintendo eShop, you can still take advantage of this offer. If you were on the fence about buying one, this might be the thing that pushes you over to actually buy one. Here’s the tweet from Nintendo of America:
For a limited time, get a free 7-day trial of #NintendoSwitchOnline without using any My Nintendo Platinum Points! Offer ends 1/30 at 11:59PM PT.

Free Ninety-Nine (For a Week)
Nintendo Switch Online is a feature that is similar to other online subscriptions that you would see from Sony or Microsoft. It allows Switchers to play a huge chunk of the Nintendo Switch library online with other Switchers. Favorites like Super Smash Bros. Ultimate and Splatoon 2, it also will occasionally let Switchers download and try new games for a set amount of time.
I can already hear some of you groaning, “Is that all I’m gonna get access to for the holidays!?” And the answer would be, “Of course not!” The best part is the treasure trove of Nintendo NES and SNES games you get access to. Most of those old-school Mario games, Metroid, Zelda, and a bunch of games I had never even heard of before. Hurry though because the trial only runs through January 30.
All in all, it is great for those who want to take full advantage of Nintendo Switch Online, but don’t just take my word for it, why not try it out yourself. And if you do end up trying it I highly recommend Hades. You’ve probably already heard someone gush over this game, which I am guilty of doing myself, but if you’re looking for an action-packed, extremely fun game with a narrative that is just as enticing as the gameplay mechanics then look no further than Hades.
