Gamers who were recently browsing through the UK Microsoft store for new releases might have felt their breath catch. Right there, in living color, was a listing for Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.
One of the best games to ever land on both the Wii U and the Nintendo Switch, could it really be coming to other platforms already? Turns out, no … not really.
While the listing does purport to be Breath of the Wild and has the original box art, a closer look immediately hints at something very amiss.
Those who have played the game will notice quite the odd description:
The new Adventure with The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild is coming!!!
Introducing the Robber Run Again! Play as The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild and collect as much going and gems as you can on your way
Be careful to not kick and fall from different obstacles on you way, and from Police officer too. like you play rise of the tomb raider
Collect Coins And Diamond In Game For Unlocking Additional Character In Game quantume break.
If being offered the chance to play as The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild didn’t tip you off, the broken English in the rest of the blurb should sound alarm bells. Perhaps, I missed it, but I don’t recall a police officer appearing anywhere in that game.
While the box art matches the title, the other accompanying pictures also present a problem.
If somehow, the description for this Breath of the Wild listing and the pics accompanying it don’t convince you something is very, very wrong, then the platforms it’s being offered on should. According to the UK Microsoft listing, this game is on HoloLens, PC, and Mobile but somehow not on Xbox One.
How this one made it past whoever is supposed to check this on Microsoft’s end is a very good question.
