IO Interactive has shared news today stating that they will be delaying the launch of the next Hitman 4 series. At the time, the Interactive studio has been spreading its wings into new projects, causing the delay of the Hitman 4 launch for a while. The crew is currently focusing on the upcoming James Bond 007 game and the recently confirmed Fantasy-Fiction IP.
No hurry for Hitman Game launch for a while
Christian Elverdam, IO’s Interactive creative officer and the co-owner, mentioned the future of the Hitman game during a recent conversation with Eurogamer. He proceeded to mention IO’s major focus at the moment was putting the Hitman game on hold until further notice.
Christian said;
“ right now a major new Hitman game: that’s a little bit on hiatus as we are building another agent fantasy that will be taking up a lot of our time ”
he also added that;
“but obviously we’ll come back to beloved Agent 47. He is still very much in our hearts”.
This new game that’s declared ‘Agent Fantasy‘ definitely refers to the James Bond 007 game. IO Interactive had earlier announced it was working on it in June 2020.
There is also word out that IO Interactives’ efforts with James Bond 007 could lead to its own trilogy. Not to mention the hard work that the developer failed not to mention. He noted that he was working on an online Fantasy – Fiction game that will be set on a new IP.
These current reports have definitely shown that Hitman 4 could end up on the waitlist. This is due to the fact that IO Interactive could be so busy this season. However, Interactive 10 is still working on the people’s favourite game, Hitman 4. The game will ultimately be produced for the fans. Therefore, stay tuned as we all wait for any new information.
