Finally, the ability to live out your destruction magic dreams is coming soon. Noita, an action roguelike game, is leaving its Early Access period in mid-October.
In Noita, you play as a witch as you descend deeper into a cave system and fight monsters. A standout point of this game, compared to other rogue-likes, is the developers have simulated every pixel in the game. This malleable world allows for sand will flow from above; the fire will spread out while burning, and you can even swim in the blood of your enemies.
Along with this, you craft your own spells to use against enemies as well as interact with the world. A spell shooting off energy beams at enemies also works well at eroding the ground. This, along with the beautiful pixel-art visual effects, leads to some breathtaking yet chaotic moments.
From the jump, Noita calls back to the classic online sand games where you can manipulate a set of sand. Now add magical action and deadly monsters, and you have a new take on an old genre.
Akin to other rogue-likes, when you die, your progress is reset, and the world is procedurally generated. To survive in Noita, you will have to learn and adapt to the dangerous world.
