Norman Reedus shares an update after he sustained an on-set injury during the filming of The Walking Dead season 11. The injury was sustained on the set of filming the 11th season. He is also updating his fans about his recovery progress through Instagram.
On the app, Reedus says that he’s been cleared to return to work on March 22. He also says that he suffered a concussion on March 11th. This injury also caused him to miss The Walking Dead fan event in Atlanta and apologize to those who wanted to see him. Lastly, he thanks fans for sending their condolences over the loss of his long-time cat, Eye in the Dark.
Filming of the show’s final episode was also delayed due to Reedus’s recovery period. However, this is not the first injury he sustained, the other being an arm injury in season 5. Reedus’s injury was first noted when the Fandemic Tour announced that he would not be making an appearance because of it.
Norman Reedus: Continuing The Walking Dead’s “Deadverse”
The Walking Dead is currently filming its 11th and final season. Reedus and his co-star Melissa McBride (Carol Peletier) are expected to star in a spinoff series focused around their two characters. There is no release date for the upcoming series beyond the year 2023. Only the fact that it has been greenlit has been confirmed.
The Walking Dead season 11 comes on every Sunday night on AMC. It is the final season of the long-running show.
