Oklahoma Trump Supporter Realizes Republicans Lied About Democrats Endorsing Federal Insurance for Illegal Immigrants: ‘MAGA Lacks Critical Thinking Skills’

There is doubtless a number of voters from all political groups who blindly follow whatever is told to them, and their lack of knowledge on important topics is oftentimes jarring. In Chad Kultgen’s case, he’s trying his best to explain that what his Oklahoma Trump-supporting mother understands about healthcare is inaccurate during a clip from his The Necessary Conversation Podcast. She claims her taxes are paying for undocumented immigrants to get free federal healthcare, but Chad reveals that’s not the case.

The conversation between The Necessary Conversation host and his MAGA mom goes down with her saying that illegal immigrants should not be allowed to get any free healthcare, even if it’s in an emergency room. Yet, while reading the answer on Google herself, the mother realizes that it’s not federally funded healthcare that provides healthcare for undocumented people, like she was informed. It’s state-funded or paid for by the county. In other words, as one commentator put it, she “slowly realizes Republicans have been lying to her that Dems are fighting for undocumented people to be covered by federal insurance, which is not allowed by federal law.”

Ironically, another online user adds that US tax dollars also go to countries that provide free healthcare to their citizens. In other words, “So she’s already paying for people’s health care who aren’t from here.” One commenter chimed in, saying, “And why are we acting like people who are here illegally are the only ones going to the ER with no insurance or funds. I know a ton of white people who do this regularly.”

As for an immigrant not receiving treatment because they are undocumented or don’t have the money, many argue that, if she were injured or had a heartache while traveling abroad, she probably wouldn’t want to die out on the street because a foreign hospital refused treatment. That said, it all boils down to one problem with this woman: racism.

And it’s no secret that this Republican woman and many uneducated people like her are compelled to believe a lie about, not just healthcare, but many things the far-right government and media feed them. “MAGA lacks critical thinking skills,” remarks a Reddit user. Fortunately, there are people like Chad who are trying to start a necessary conversation to change these people’s minds for the better, starting with his own parents.
