When asked about their favorite FPS title, some gamers might refer to old school shooters like Duke Nukem 3D and Wolfenstein. Despite the advances in technology, many maintain a soft spot for the classic look. Capitalizing on that nostalgia, Voidpoint, LLC has decided to bring their hit shooter from Steam to console platforms. Ion Fury has all the look of an old school shooter with the mechanics and smoothness of current-gen technology.
As a bomb diffuser for the Global Defense force, Shelly Harrison earned herself the “Bombshell” moniker. In Ion Fury, you take on the role of Harrison, and must single-handedly bring down an army. Dr. Jadus Heskel has founded a cult willing to die for him. But they’re not your normal cultists. They’re also enhanced with cybernetics, making them even deadlier. This old school shooter puts you in possession of Loverboy, Harrison’s signature tri-barreled revolver, and a host of other firearms like dual SMGs and explosive bowling balls. You’ll have to make every shot count because health does not regenerate.
