Olivia Munn Responded Aggressively To Breast Cancer Diagnosis
Olivia Munn’s pain about Ash’s passing comes from her personal experience with cancer. The actress, who is married to comedian John Mulaney, was diagnosed with stage 1 invasive breast cancer in 2023. Doctors performed four surgeries, including a double mastectomy, and put Munn in a medically induced menopause to successfully fight her cancer.
In an interview, Munn explained her doctor advised her to be “aggressive” with her treatment for the sake of her son, Malcolm. “So I was super aggressive. I mean, I have breast tissue taken up, you know, all the way to my collarbone,” the actress noted. Within 30 days of her diagnosis, Munn underwent a lymph node dissection, a nipple delay procedure, and a double mastectomy.
