For those of you that are unaware, One Piece is a big deal. Having published its first chapter way back in 1997, Eiichiro Oda’s masterpiece has gone on to become the best selling manga series of all time. That’s no small feat when you remember titles such as Dragon Ball and Naruto exist.
As with any successful manga, the anime version wasn’t far behind with the animated adventures of Strawhat beginning in 1999 and running consistently since then.
Both the anime and manga are going from strength to strength at the moment with Monkey D. Luffy co-creating mayhem in Wano. Having read the latest chapter today I can tell anime fans that they are in for a treat with what’s coming up.
Unfortunately, thanks to the COVID-19 outbreak fans have had to wait for the next episode of the show as One Piece was forced to postpone episodes, which is understandable but probably quite a pain for a majority of fans.
Thankfully, that wait should soon be over if a recent rumor comes to pass. The rumors appeared on social media with insiders such as Yonkou Productions and Soulstorm sharing the news that the One Piece anime will return to TV this month.
If this rumor is to be believed then One Piece will grace our screens again on June 28th, which is only 2 weeks away. Here’s hoping they are true as the Wano arc has been pretty good so far with the promise of exciting things to come. I don’t want to spoil anything, but I can’t wait.
Hopefully, we’ll get more One Piece later this month but in the meantime, fans can always watch the first couple of arcs over on Netflix. For anyone who has missed out on this behemoth, I wholeheartedly recommend you give it a try.
