Fans will soon get to see the original Cartoon Network Teen Titans cartoon characters in the ongoing television series Teen Titans Go! In a world with a different take on the animated show and a new live-action one on DC’s streaming service, fans have demanded the five heroes return in the fashion they came to love when it released in 2003.
The spark that lit the rumor fire appeared during the mid-credits of Teen Titans Go! To the Movies, when it hinted the original Titan team was working to make their way back. Robin is heard saying, “This is the Teen Titans. Can anyone hear us? We think we’ve found a way back.”
That was the beginning of speculation, however, fans now have a new reason to believe the Titans from the 2003 Cartoon Network series will be coming back within the world of Teen Titans Go!. A teaser trailer, rumored to be included in this week’s Blu-ray and DVD release of the animated movie, appeared on Youtube. If it is to be believed, both teams from the animated series will be fighting against each other in a crossover called Teen Titans Go! vs. Teen Titans.
An article from i09 reports Warner Bros. says Teen Titans Go! vs. Teen Titans will be available sometime in 2019. However, we aren’t exactly sure what kind of animation it will be. Both animated shows have five seasons of episodes with movies of their own. The crossover could be a singular episode or a movie event with the outcome of the fight leading to a new season of the winning team.
The Blu-ray and DVD release of Teen Titans Go! To the Movies is out October 30th, 2018. Fans will get answers soon enough on what is to come for DC heroes Beast Boy, Cyborg, Starfire, Raven, and Robin.
