Overcooked All You Can Eat is about as accurate of a name for a game as any. Not only are you getting the wondrous updates and full game of Overcooked 2, but you can get a fully remastered version of the original Overcooked as well (including multiplayer)! It’s truly a buffet of all things tiny chefs, and it’s one of my highlights when it comes to the co-op genre. If you found that All You Can Eat isn’t quite enough though, then today’s update should do more than satiate your appetite. Today, Overcooked All You Can Eat has launched the free Birthday Party update, bringing with it new kitchens, chefs, and more! You can check out the trailer for the fresh launch below.
The Birthday Party celebrates five years since the original Overcooked, bringing with it five birthday-themed kitchens for you to create dishes in. The Onion King is one hungry man, and so it’s up to you (and up to three friends) to get in there, make some dishes, and satisfy both him and the hungry customers. To do so, you’ll need the new Tabby Cat chef and Cup of Tea recipe, which is a weird way to celebrate a birthday. But hey, I don’t judge. You’ll have to be careful though, as a rather annoying playing card has brought with it a brand new Switcheroo mechanic. This creates a moving portal on the floor, one you’ll have to avoid if you’re to complete things in the allotted time.
That’s not all though, as those who have yet to play Overcooked can join in on the Birthday celebrations. Steam is hosting a major franchise sale, including 40% off Overcooked All You Can Eat alongside plenty of other discounts. You can also try out the full game for free, from right now until 1 PM EST on August 11! A perfect chance to see all this hilarious party game has to offer.
