Overwatch 2 has been the talk of this past season. For both good and bad reasons. People are still annoyed at the high prices for skins, and some others praise the fact that it is free-to-play. Well, to an extent. Unlocking the whole battle pass will take quite the grind unless you plan to pay a bit. And we are not even mentioning the price for the Watchpoint Pack, which is another hot topic around the community. Still, Activision Blizzard is putting out events and content to keep people entertained while playing the game. Right now, the Battle for Olympus limited-time game mode is coming to Overwatch 2. Teased a while ago, the game mode also gives heroes some godlike powers and pretty cool skins.
Overwatch 2 Battle for Olympus runs from January 5 to January 19
Players will be able to queue for this new event to try their hand at some of the new powers bestowed upon certain heroes. The trailer describes the game as a free-for-all death match with 7 heroes at the helm of the event. These are the heroes that’ll appear in the Overwatch 2 Battle for Olympus event when it arrives in the game:
- Junker Queen
- Pharah
- Roadhog
- Lucio
- Ramattra
- Widowmaker
- Reinhardt

Some of these heroes will don some Olympus-themed outfits and some godlike abilities as well. Reinhardt, for example, has a very cool outfit that resembles a Minotaur, while Widowmaker looks like Medusa. If there is one thing we can always praise is the work the art department does for skins, maps, and all heroes. Besides the designs, every hero will have different abilities to use around the matches. This is great if you want to try something different than the usual matches. So, get ready for Battle of Olympus game mode that’ll arrive at Overwatch 2 on January 5. Hopefully, one of many events that the developers are planning for this title.
