How to Activate SMS Protect for Overwatch 2
The SMS protection of Overwatch 2 is like every other two-step verification that almost every website and online program uses and encourages its users to activate. It is one of the best ways to increase the protection of your account.
The first step is to have a text-enabled mobile phone in which you can receive text messages. Remember that you cannot use iMessage or WhatsApp to activate the SMS protection. It is also not recommended to use VoIP or phones with prepaid plans, which might give you some trouble in the future.
Activating SMS protection is rather an easy task. The first step is to login into your Battle.net account that you have Overwatch 2 in it. In there click on the Account Detail tab on the left. Scroll down and you should be able to see the Phone Number section.
Click on the Add Phone Number option and then enter an acceptable phone number and proceed. In a matter of seconds, you should receive an SMS containing the security code Battle.net has sent you. Enter the security code in the box that has appeared on your screen.
