A launch day is always something big for any videogame. Today’s turn is for Overwatch 2. While some players have already taken their favorite heroes or even new ones like Kiriko, some others have been suffering. A huge part of players have had the “Lost Connection” error or just lag in general. Well, all that is happening is due to a huge Overwatch 2 DDoS attack that is happening today at launch. It isn’t a surprise that bad things happen on any launch day but it is very sad to see that the long-awaited “sequel” is being affected by this.
Overwatch 2 Launch Day has several connection issues so far
A smooth launch of any Activision-Blizzard game is something that we haven’t seen in ages. Not long ago Wrath of the Lich King Classic released again and it was the same story. Long queues, disconnects, lag, and so on. This was also expected to happen during Overwatch 2’s launch day. However, it is always sad that some of the biggest companies still have these situations whenever a huge game launches. So far the Overwatch 2 DDoS attack seems to keep going because some players keep losing connection or not being able to connect.

Beyond all that, Overwatch 2 has been a topic of conversation due to a lot of controversy behind it. First, we learned that you would only be able to get the new heroes through the battle pass. Or, you can also buy the current Watchpoint Pack to get the new one and some skins plus the new currency. This is something that players didn’t like at all but well, it is a free-to-play game so, it isn’t too bad we guess. Still, we’ll have to wait beyond Overwatch 2’s launch day to see how the game progresses and if it gains stability over the coming days.
