Overwatch 2 has released a gameplay trailer for Ramattra, the first hero to be released when season 2 begins. The trailer shows the newest Tank, which can switch between two different forms. He will be debuted when season 2 starts on December 6.
Ramattra is the newest hero that will be joining Overwatch 2, and he will be a Tank and the first Tempo Tank in the series. He has two forms that he can switch between Omnic and Nemesis. Omnic will be his base form, and Nemesis will give him new moves, as well as bonus armor. On top of the new gameplay trailer, Overwatch 2 also revealed his complete ability kit through a Tweet. You can see the full details here.
While in his Omnic form, Ramattra can use the Void Accelerator to fire a stream of projectiles and create a barrier at a targeted location. The trailer shows that this barrier is powerful enough to block even Ultimate attacks. He can also use Ravenous Vortex, which explodes when it hits the ground. Enemies hit by the explosion will be slowed and pulled downward.
While in Nemesis form, he can Pummel, punching forward and creating waves of energy. He also blocks with his arms in this form, significantly reducing the damage he takes while reducing movement speed. Finally, his Ultimate, Annihilation, creates a swarm of nanobots in front of him, dealing damage and reducing all enemy damage by 50%.
Ramattra will be released on December 6, when Overwatch 2 begins season 2. Unfortunately, he will be the first hero that will be completely locked behind a Battle Pass. In addition to Ramattra, the 2nd season is expected to introduce a new map for players to compete on. While not confirmed, there will also likely be a holiday even towards the end of December.
