Since the game’s release in 2016, Blizzard has consistently created events in Overwatch to commemorate special occasions. According to a leak by @OverwatchNaeri, a new event will be starting in Overwatch to celebrate Mardi Gras. The Overwatch Mardi Gras event will also mark the end of season 20. For those who are unfamiliar with Overwatch‘s events, Blizzard typically releases an alternative game mode to spice up the world. In addition to a new game mode, Blizzard releases new skins, emotes, poses, icons, and more for the event. From the leak, it appears as if the Overwatch event is about to get wild to celebrate Fat Tuesday (Mardi Gras).
Starting on February 25th, Overwatch will feature a Mardi Gras inspired event that will run until March 9th. The event was all but confirmed when Twitch gave audience members special bundles for watching select streams. These select bundles are titled Overwatch Ashe Mardi Gras bundles and specify a specific time amount.

The event was further confirmed when a streamer La Nimi showed the two bundles in their inventory. From the bundles, we can determine that Ashe will be the primary focus of the event. This would make for a great play on words since after Fat Tuesday comes Ash Wednesday. So far we can deduct that Ashe, McCree, and Zenyatta will receive some kind of cosmetic during the event. Ashe’s Skin has been supposedly leaked during a YouTube video. The video showed Ashe wearing a purple and green themed outfit.
We got no reason to lie or fake this. That seems like an insane waste of time. Video here. pic.twitter.com/U4jAvhY595

Ashe's Mardi Gras Challenge got leaked on youtube, don't worry if you can't make it, it's just another weekly event for a skin and some sprays! :) pic.twitter.com/CHBWgBBIqS

Potential Blizzard in Your Forecast
At the moment, Blizzard has not confirmed that the event is about to happen; however, we will find out shortly if the event is 100% true. Prior to any Overwatch event, Blizzard releases an update for the game. If you have yet to experience an Overwatch event, Ashe’s Mardi Gras might be a bit to wild for you.
