It’s time for your favorite heroes to hit the beach! As of today, the Overwatch Summer Games 2021 event is in full swing, and it is full of new summer-related goodies
Much like the last few events, the Overwatch Summer Games has players playing 27 games to complete the weekly challenges (Wins are worth two points). Week One awards players with an icon, spray, and skin for Ocean King Winston. Week Two awards players with an icon, spray, and skin for Sunset Pharah. And last, but not least, Week Three awards players with an icon, spray, and skin for Nihon Hanzo.
In this event, other new skins include Mermaid Symmetra, Poolside Ashe (B.O.B. is wearing a flamingo hat!), Scuba Sigma, Referee Orisa, and the adorable Sprinkles Mei. As always, there is a slew of new icons, sprays, and voice lines as well. Goodies from past events, like Lifeguard McCree, Tulum Sombra, Côte d’Azur Widowmaker, Waveracer D.Va, Winged Victory Mercy, Surf ‘n’ Splash Tjorbjorn, Fastball Zenyatta, Grillmaster: 76, and more, are also available for purchasing now.
Lucioball and Lucioball Remix will also be making their return to the Overwatch Summer Games event.
After the Summer Olympics were canceled in Tokyo last year, this is the first time in a few years where the Summer Games have actually occurred during the Olympic event. So, it is time to get in the spirit!
The Overwatch Summer Games 2021 event starts on Tuesday, July 20, and will run until Tuesday, August 10. Overwatch is now playable on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S. Nintendo Switch and PC.
