Owen Wilson returns to Marvel Studios’ Loki as Mobius for season 2, but that’s all we’re being fed with at the moment. Wilson, who portrayed Mobius in the Loki series, made quite an impact when the show made its big debut last year. But what will happen now with the multiverse coming into full display? We might not know until the last minute, but the new season will be filming soon, according to Owen Wilson.
The Loki Actor Will Soon Return to the MCU “Pretty Soon”
The ending to season 1 revealed that Mobius doesn’t recognize Loki whatsoever. Despite being his friend, the two have a new road to prevail, with Kang, played by Jonathan Majors (The Last Black Man in San Francisco, Lovecraft Country), now at the forefront of conflict. With Loki seemingly lost in another universe, only time will reveal how exactly Mobius will work into the plot of Loki season 2.
Owen Wilson actually confirmed his return in the recent WIRED video for the “Web’s Most Searched Questions.” One of the questions prompted, “Is Owen Wilson coming back to Loki” to which Wilson replied:
Yes, he is coming back to Loki. And I think we’re gonna start filming that pretty soon. I had a great time working on Loki. I really enjoyed Tom Hiddleston and all the people on that.”
The Loki actor proceeded to toss the question card over his shoulder, placing a lid on any further information that he could provide. With the multiverse working its way into Spider-Man: No Way Home and WandaVision, we’re bound to see more with the upcoming projects coming from Marvel Studios.
