You could go onto Steam and find hundreds if not thousands of open-world survival games, but very few tend to succeed. Normally they’re used as a cash grab, but some stand out on their own and provide a unique gameplay experience for players. PAMELA is one such game that’s been out for some time on Steam Early Access, and the team has some exciting news today. Developer NVYVE Studios announces that PAMELA will be leaving Steam Early Access on June 18th, and with it introduce a proper story mode.
PAMELA follows the story of a Sleeper, a person awoken from cryosleep on Eden. The world is not what you once knew, as this beautiful world has been ravaged by an insane disease. You don’t know why it’s there or what led to this moment, but there’s one thing you know for certain. You must survive. With the aid of the city’s AI P.A.M.E.L.A., you’ll make difficult decisions that will shape you and the city’s future. What choices will you make in this intense and unforgettable survival experience? Currently, the game is only available on Steam for $30.
For those that are already playing, this update is substantial. There will be a full-on story mode for those wanting a more narrative and goal-focused experience. There’s also a new main quest, side missions, and more dialogue from P.A.M.E.L.A., so everything should feel more complete. This is all thanks to the passionate community and developers putting a lot of effort into the game. Hopefully, PAMELA proves to be a complete and well-worth experience for those who try it on release.
