The cast of the upcoming dark-comedy film The Trainer has added Paris Hilton, award-winning musician Finneas O’Connell (better known as FINNEAS), journalist Lauren Sanchez, actress Sandra Seacat, and Gayle King to its cast. The Trainer, created by Vito Schnabel and written by Schnabel and Jeff Solomon, includes a large, eclectic cast that already includes Julia Fox and Steven Van Zandt.
The Trainer, originally based on an original story by Vito Schnabel, follows Schnabel himself as Jack, a fitness trainer living with his mother in Los Angeles. Fed up with the cards he’s been dealt, Jack takes a swing at professional fighting, hoping for glory and fame in his own version of the American Dream. Deadline describes the film as “eight days of sleep-deprived chaos.”

Hilton, O’Connell, Sanchez, Seacat, and King are only the latest additions to the expansive cast of The Trainer – other cast members include Bella Thorne (Midnight Sun), Julia Fox (No Sudden Move), Lenny Kravitz (The Hunger Games), Steven Van Zandt (The Sopranos), Stephen Dorff (Blade), Luka Sabbat (Grown-ish), Laird Hamilton (Die Another Day), and Duke Nicholson (Us) among others.
Of the new additions to the cast of The Trainer, Paris Hilton may be the most well-known, having appeared in Repo! The Genetic Opera (2008), House of Wax (2005), Veronica Mars (2004), and The O.C. (2004), in addition to many appearances as herself on talk shows and Hollywood documentaries.
Finneas O’Connell, more widely known as FINNEAS, is an Academy Award-winning musician and star Billie Eilish’s older brother. His debut EP, Blood Harmony, was released in 2019 and contained the hit single “Let’s Fall in Love For The Night,” which reached 17 on the US Billboard Alternative Songs chart.
Lauren Sanchez is a journalist who has appeared on news programs around the nation, including The View, Larry King Tonight, and Showbiz Tonight. Her past film credits include Fight Club (1999), Ted 2 (2015), Fantastic Four (2005), Fantastic 4: Rise of the Silver Surfer (2007), and White House Down (2013). Notably, Sanchez also founded Black Ops Aviation, an aerial production company, and is head of the Bezos Earth Fund.
Sandra Seacat is an actress, director, and acting coach who has appeared on Under the Banner of Heaven (2022) as Josie Pyre, HBO’s Enlightened (2011) as Patricia, Crazy in Alabama (1999) as Meemaw, and in Mark Ruffalo’s feature directorial debut Sympathy for Delicious (2010) as Mrs. Matilda.
Gayle King is an award-winning broadcast journalist and author of Note to Self (2019). In addition to co-hosting CBS Mornings, she also serves as editor-at-large for O, The Oprah Magazine. Her previous film and TV credits include Queen & Slim, The Boss, Billions, The Game, and 30 Rock.
While The Trainer has reportedly wrapped filming, further information on The Trainer cast and their roles in the movie is currently unavailable. The Trainer is scheduled to release in 2023.
