Along with the many new game announcements during today’s E3 festivities, Recreate Game’s Party Animals (for Xbox) was the one to cause chatter with fans.
Hey, just because they’re fuzzy doesn’t mean they can’t throw down.

So What is Party Animals?
Party Animals is an exaggerated, physic’s enabled, multiplayer fighting game. It features anthropomorphic (and cute) animals style characters. The game follows the style of popular multiplayer games like Fall Guys and Gang Beasts. It features different animals such as unicorns, pugs, corgis, and cats as they fight to be the last ones standing. Follow these animals as they push each other off cliffs, shoot each other with tasers, and take part in other ridiculous actions to whittle the competition down.
The two-minute trailer appeared at the halfway point of Xbox and Bethesda’s Game Showcase at E3 2021. As seen in the trailer, Party Animals is a chaotic and high-energy game that involves anthropomorphic animals fighting to be the last one standing.
Along with the over-the-top mechanics of the game, the stages follow in this ridiculous lead. Stages include a flying bomber jet, a fish market (with attacking tentacles), a train with flying fiery coal, and more. Being able to interact with the environment is also a big part of the game mechanics. The trailer shows a submarine launching rockets that players can grab. The levels also provide an open 3D space for the animals to explore and fight.
As the Xbox release for Party Animals was made by a different developer than Gang Beasts, the two titles have nothing to do with each other. However, with Recreate being a new studio, there is a list of hiring positions for other future roles on their official website.
Party Animals is set to release on Xbox and PC at an undefined date in 2022. It will be available for download on day one through the Xbox Game Pass subscription. Will you be playing? Let us know!
