Payday fans can start the new year with some exciting news: Payday 3 is coming in 2023! No release date has been announced, yet we have the official logo and Steam page to check out. The news comes 9 years after the release of Payday 2, which holds up as a popular PC title. Now the time has come for the third entry in the series, with the old crew taking up jobs in a different city. There’s also a logo reveal trailer that takes a sneak peek into what’s to arrive later this year in 2023.
This is the Year of Payday 3
Dallas, Hoxton, Wolf, and Chains are taking their business elsewhere after coming out of retirement. Some time has passed, and the qualified heist crew has arrived in New York City. More crime will arise, new risks will be taken, and huge amounts of cash are always in store for successful scores. We can assume what trouble these four will get into, but for now, players will have to sit by.
In the meantime, the brief logo trailer gives us a glimpse of the impending chaos. Entitled “A New Criminal Dawn”, the camera draws away from a celebrated New York City before stopping behind the aforementioned crew. With their equipment and masks in hand, the criminals look outward to the city from a distance as fireworks explode across the night sky. Ominous plays throughout the trailer until it transitions to the official logo presiding with and in complete “This is the Year of Payday 3“. You can check out the Payday 3 logo trailer with the attached footage above.
Payday 3 is looking at a 2023 release, though there is no window to rely on in terms of anticipating its launch. However, Steam users can wishlist the title now to stay up-to-date with the community and the game’s progress. Additionally, Payday 2 is on sale for only $0.99 on Steam until January 5 if you haven’t grabbed your copy yet!
