Next month, Resident Evil Village will be released. To build hype for its release, Capcom has decided to do several demos. The first was earlier this year. The most recent, on the other hand, was available this past weekend. Even though it only lasts 30 minutes, the latest Resident Evil Village demo is a lot to take in. The demo was only playable for a few hours between Saturday and Sunday, but it seems to have been a huge hit with series fans.
Announced on April 15, the 30 minute Resident Evil Village demo was only available for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 owners for a few hours. Within the demo, players were only able to explore the village area of the game. The village contained a few enemies and, if players were quick enough, some story cutscenes. Over on Reddit, fans have already started sharing their opinions.
The most upvoted comment in a reaction thread to the demo is by user pieswag1234 and it says the following: “Love how Ethan showed more emotion! He has more lines in that one demo than the entirety of 7 lol.” Another comment later on in the thread by vinihatake mentions his excitement for Resident Evil Village:
I am overwhelmed by its atmosphere! Graphics are insane in PS5, but the art and the design of the scenarios are the key here. The section with the grass and the werewolves are incredible, truly spooking. The interiors overall graphics are incredible, photo realistic. I was impressed by the Luiza’s house scene, not expected that at all!!! The history is so catchy, I am dying to see what’s next! We might have here a GOTY competitor guys, what a brilliant demo! So happy to see how RE evolved until here!!!”
What makes this demo rollout so interesting is that this was only half of a demo. The next half will feature the castle section and it will also be exclusive to PlayStation players. It will be available on April 24 for only 8 hours and will once again be 30 minutes long. The final demo for Resident Evil Village will be available on May 1 and it will contain both the village and castle sections and is an hour-long. Despite the slightly confusing demo rollout, Capcom has many fans hyped. Are you one of them? Let us know in the comments below.
