While stealth was never truly a super important part of the Persona 5 games, it still played a somewhat vital role in how to approach your enemies and it certainly plays a similar role in Persona 5 Strikers. A Phantom Dash allows you to get the jump on enemies wandering around on the field and is needed to give your team the upper hand in battle.
How to Perform a Phantom Dash
It’s pretty simple to perform but one has to note that it’s much more contextually sensitive to perform in Persona 5 Strikers than it was in previous Persona 5 games. When moving around on the field, some objects will give you prompts, such as busses or lamp posts, to move to them quickly, acting as a hiding spot. Pressing circle on PS4 or A on the Switch will perform the move and you can move between locations via Phantom Dash if you’re within a certain range.
While you’re hiding in a Phantom Dash location, you can perform special actions such as an Ambush or a special attack by pressing the triangle button on the PS4 or X button on the Switch. This will either launch the Ambush or a Special Action that usually results in some kind of attack.

If you’re having trouble finding a location to Phantom Dash toward, you can use the Third Eye ability by pressing and holding the L2 button on PS4 or ZL on Switch and you’ll notice a lot of the Phantom Dash locations are highlighted. You’ll find that some stretches are meant for abusing this method of travel, usually meant for wide-open areas but some areas are only traversable via Phantom Dash so keeping an eye out is always key. If all else fails and you can’t find a spot you should be looking for and you’re close enough to it, a blue arrow will actually show up on your heads-up display and point you towards where one should be, which is usually helpful in a battle situation.
