Much like in Persona 5 and in previous Persona games, there’s a special type of Shadow that lurks around whose only real purpose is to provide a damage check challenge, usually, and provides a hefty reward for doing so. In Persona 5 Strikers, there are some slight changes but the nature of the Treasure Demons mostly remains the same. There are some changes to how the battles go down, though, so we’ve created this guide to make those battles a little easier for you.
How to Defeat Treasure Demons
Like mentioned before, Treasure Demons are a type of Shadow that pops up semi-randomly that serve as a damage sponge that, once killed, provides a highly desirable reward. This is either in the form of a really good item, a lot of cash, massive EXP, or some mix of them. You’ll want to go through your normal battle routine, if possible, by exposing and exploiting weaknesses but as they don’t appear as often as other Shadows, you may end up caught without the ability to know their weaknesses upfront, so just slathering them in different abilities may pay off in the form of a knockdown and an All-Out Attack and, typically, it only really takes one or two All-Out Attacks to polish most of them off.
Whether or not you want to pour your best abilities out on a Treasure Demon depends on how much effort you have to give compared to the rewards you’re likely to get and as you run into more and more in Jails. You’re going to understand that a little more as you go. Thankfully, by the time you run into situations where pouring everything into Treasure Demons isn’t as rewarding anymore, you’re probably set for a while when trying to tackle the rest of the Jail’s content.
