Peta Hypes Maksim Chmerkovskiy’s Chances As DWTS Judge
“Of course. He would love to do that. I don’t know. I think that’s his next step,” Peta told Us Weekly about Maksim becoming a DWTS judge. The Peta Jane Beauty line founder said her husband was born to take the role. Peta gave solid reasons why she thinks her husband was good for the role. According to her, Maksim loves to talk.
“You know Maks, he will talk your ear off,” she added.
The DWTS star went further to hype Maksim as she shared that he will usually give advice and lecture. With those attributes and passion, Peta thought being a DWTS judge would be the perfect spot for Maksim. She concluded by saying, “but we’ll see,” showing her high hopes.
Peta’s comment about Maksim being a DWTS judge came after fans wished her husband could replace Judge Len Goodman. Len, who sat as a judge alongside Carrie Ann Inaba, Derek Hough, and Bruno Tonioli, exited the show last year. Since he left, fans have been seeking a suitable replacement.

Besides talking about Maksim being a good fit for the role of a judge, Peta spoke about coming back to the show. “I would love to be, if they want me,” she said. Peta, who is pregnant with her and Maksim’s second child, revealed that she is willing to come back. She recalled how she returned after her last pregnancy before saying she would gladly do it again.
After five years of dating, the two-time Mirrorball trophy winner wed Maksim Chmerkovskiy in 2017. She joined DWTS in 2011 for season 13. Peta competed for several years, giving birth between seasons 23 and 24 and taking a break after season 25 in 2017. She has also taken several breaks and returned.
