The latest PlayStation Showcase of 2023 had many surprises, including the reveal of Metal Gear Solid Delta and Spider-Man 2, yet other games also made a big splash. One of the games that surprised many was Phantom Blade Zero. A combination of Ninja Gaiden and John Wick, according to developers. After a few days of watching the first trailers, the people behind Phantom Blade Zero have confirmed the story length of the game. There’s good news for those expecting a long single-player story, as the game will last about the same as recent PS5 titles.
Phantom Blade Zero Will Have a Story Length of 30 to 40 Hours

According to the developers, Phantom Blade Zero’s story length is about 30 to 40 hours. This is great as it resembles recent PS5 titles like God of War: Ragnarok and the upcoming Final Fantasy 16. Yet, that’s not everything players will be able to do. Phantom Blade Zero will feature many optional missions and dungeons with roguelite elements that players can tackle together. Yes, the game will feature multiplayer for this type of content which seems fantastic and might even draw more people to the game when it launches.

Besides the story length of Phantom Blade Zero, the people behind the game have revealed more details about the game. The game is a sequel to Phantom Blade: Executioners, which was a mobile game. This upcoming title’s plot revolves around betrayal, and the studio compares it to a “John Wick prequel.”
Besides that, the combat is akin to Ninja Gaiden, which is fantastic for those who played this iconic series. Yet, that shouldn’t put off those who didn’t. While we only saw a reveal trailer, we can’t wait to see the actual combat happening in real time and maybe some hands-on previews. Even if that’s far from getting here, we hope to learn more about this fantastic title in the coming months.
