It is great to see when a thug finally has to serve his sentence after causing so much trouble to his victims. However, sometimes, things take an unexpected turn. For example, this video on Reddit wasn’t a routinary apprehension. The first thing that caught everybody’s attention was how excited this Philadelphia man was while being arrested; still, the users pointed out that the police officer was the criminal’s twin. Perhaps the offender was so happy after seeing a familiar face.
This video initially came from Instagram, and its owner, richy_dgbc, posted it in April 2024. Yet recently, Redditor QuickResidentjoe reposted it on r/SipsTea. On both platforms, the users were dumbfounded by how happy the arrested man was after the Philadelphia Police caught him and how his twin was in charge of taking him to the station. There is no information about what happened, not even in the original video or on Reddit. There is no indication that the criminal and the cop are brothers in real life. However, richy_dgbc tags another person in this Instagram post, and that profile seems to belong to the cop.
He had it coming. Identity theft is not a joke. Millions of people suffer every year.

As is common in Reddit, users didn’t waste time commenting on something crazy or a funny reference. However, this case is too unhinged for many who do not understand the man’s happiness. Even if the policeman was his brother, they were in the middle of an arrest.
Good on them for finding the funny side of it. I don’t even know these guys and the situation kinda bummed me out.

You have to admire the arrested man’s positivity. Not many could have such a big smile on the way to the police car. Whatever the case, if these two people do turn out to be related, this will be a great topic of conversation every time there is a family party. Let’s hope that that occasion was not anything serious.
